Tom Overton having surgery today

Postie Tom Overton is having surgery on his back Thursday, Nov. 2, his 53rd birthday.

Judy Overton says his mobility has become greatly compromised in the past 12 hours, so the doctors will revisit his spinal area and remove a mass that is encroaching on that area.

This is a delicate surgery like the last one six months ago and could take up to eight hours. Surgery will be at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Right now he's in Room Purple 319. Tom was to undergo an embollization on Wednesday, November 1.
